ABOUT US

Brooklyn's oldest competitive fencing club.

Fencing is a unique sport, rich in history, that offers something for everyone!  Not so keen on team sports? Fencing lets you shine on your own merits, and you’ll still make new friends along the way. And if you’re thinking college acceptances, fencing is great for filling out the resume (or even getting a little extra attention from some schools). Plus your seven-year-old can continue to enjoy fencing–even competition–till she’s seventy-plus.
Not too many sports can say that. And most of all, it’s fun!

Brooklyn Fencing Center in the Spotlight

We have appeared on the WB11 10 o’clock news, Fox 5’s Good Morning New York and in the pages of Time Out New York, not to mention features in many local Brooklyn papers. You can watch our fencing clip at NY1.com. In honor of the first competition in our permanent space, Borough President Marty Markowitz proclaimed September 26th Brooklyn Fencing Day in Brooklyn!

The Brooklyn Fencing Center is a member of the Metropolitan Division of the USA Fencing Association. Look for our porcupine patch at a fencing competition near you
