Welcome back!
The Junior saber group is recommended for students with at least a semester of beginner classes under their belt; exceptions may be made depending on class size, so if you're really keen to start from scratch with saber, please inquire.
Equipment: Full fencing uniform and electrical equipment are required for class; let us know if you think you might be missing something and we'll help! Students who come to class without the proper attire may watch from the side but may not participate that day, so please remember your fencing things. (Psst, we do have locker rentals available, just inquire at the desk).

This group does not run during the summer; older fencers may be able to join the adult group temporarily; otherwise inquire for private lessons and other options for July/August.
To register for twice-weekly, click on the register link for the first day you'd like to attend; choose the twice-weekly option, then e-mail us with your choice of second day (or we'll e-mail you about it anyway in a few days). You can pick any two days.
That doesn't fit my schedule...
Private lessons are most likely your best option; one on one with a coach, private lessons are a good way of experiencing the sport that is flexible to your schedule. Generally private lessons may be scheduled any time we're open that is convenient for you, and will often mean your fencer advances faster than in group classes since each lesson is tailored to their individual growth. For more information or to schedule a lesson, please call us at 718.522.5822. Note there is a 24-hour cancellation policy for all private lessons.
Talk to us! Based on your fencing goals, we can help you figure out the best way to get fencing in your schedule. With a few private lessons you should be able to join one of the ongoing more advanced classes.
LOOKING AHEAD
If you're interested in exploring competition or just want to get more fencing in, talk to your coach or the head coach. Private lessons are probably your next step. Coaches can also help you figure out when might be good to come in for extra bouting with fencers around your level.
ADULTS ages 18 and up
Adult groups are limited to 14 students.
Mixed-Level BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE - $240 / 8 weeks
Welcome! Intermediate students should have at minimum a complete set of non-electric equipment; if you're missing anything (mask, glove, jacket, fencing pants) please speak with Edwin or Rolando to order what you need. We encourage you to start buying your own electric foil or saber, body cord, and lame as possible. Equipment is included for new beginners for the first 8-week session.
